 Mountain horseback trail rides
provide an exceptional opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat and to view
and become part of the tranquil environment that is exclusive to high mountain landscapes.Our guests have the option of venturing out with their own horses, exploring the magnificence of hundreds of acres along the Blue Mountains or riding our experienced trail horses on one of our many "Traditional Trail Rides". Besides traditional trail rides, special morning and evening "Steak Fry Rides" are available. These rides are arranged for private individual groups and are designed to be a unique recreational dining experience.  The "Morning Breakfast Rides" will get your day off to a
dazzling start with an exhilarating sunrise and lots of fresh
air. As you ride to the top of the mountain, you can watch wildlife in their early
morning grazing. By the time you reach our cow camp on top you will have worked up
an appetite for a hardy breakfast of steak and eggs with sourdough
biscuits. We will have you back to our barn by mid-morning so that you can
continue your day, relaxing or enjoying any of the other Walla Walla Valley activities
available to you. If someone in your party prefers not to ride, they can drive up
with the cook and enjoy the mountain scenery while the rest of the party makes their way
up the mountain. Evening
"Steak Fry Rides" leave our barn in the late
afternoon. While riding to the top, you will learn and have an opportunity to see
how our farm/ranch family has incorporated biological weed control, cattle grazing, mature
tree harvest, and even a mountain top strawberry field into our mountain property.
There is a volleyball net and horseshoe pit set up at camp so you can polish your skills
at these games before dinner. Following a steak dinner, you will return across the top of the mountain where you can view the entire Walla Walla Valley and enjoy our breathtaking summer sunsets.
